Welcome to the Official Website of Phi Sigma Chi
In the spring of 1996, seven young men were approached by the President of the Inter-Fraternity Council and asked to form a new fraternity. The relationship between greeks and independents was becoming increasingly worse, and it was thought that a group of dynamic male students could help bridge the growing gap. After careful deliberation and planning, 15 individuals united to start Phi Sigma Phi. Donning the colors silver and black, the new fraternity was founded on the principles of brotherhood, tolerance, humility, and honor.
Although early difficulties fell upon Phi Sigs, the first pledge class was taken in the spring of 1997. In the fall of the same year, the fraternity changed its name to Phi Sigma, and by the spring of 1998 the current title of Phi Sigma Chi was established. Since its founding, Phi Sigma Chi strived for positive relationships with all students - greeks and independents alike. Phi Sigma Chi prides itself on its ethnic diversity, community service, athletic excellence, and academic integrity.
We currently work hard to uphold our own pillars, as well as those of the Greek Community at Trinity University. Phi Sigma Chi remains committed to our academic acheivements in SCHOLARSHIP, upholds our dedication to SERVICE through our philanthrophies and donations of time to the community, demonstrates LEADERSHIP through our involvement in other organizations across campus, and promotes CAMARADERIE through in our daily commitment to our brothers.
